Bathing Solutions

Bathing Solutions

One of life’s great pleasures is relaxing in a hot bath, or easing away aches and pains with a steaming shower. But it’s not quite so enjoyable when you are worried about slipping, or how you are going to get out of the bath.

Accidents in the bathroom are among the most common and most serious accidents in the home. But with the right measures, the risk of slipping and tripping in the bathroom can be reduced. All our bathroom solutions eliminate the worry of slips, trips and falls and give you the ability to take an invigorating shower or relax in a hot bath.

Walk-in Baths, Wet Rooms and Accessible Showers

Mobility Scotland has a specially selected a range of specialised bathing solutions designed to put the ease and comfort back into bathing at a reasonable price.

Walk-in Bath

A walk-in bath is a bathtub with a watertight door that allows the bather to step into the tub over a low threshold to increase safety while getting into the bath. The door closes, the tub fills with water and after draining the bath, the person opens the door and steps out safely.

Wet Room

A wet room is a totally waterproofed bathroom with a shower area at the same level as the rest of the floor. A truly open plan wet room removes the need for an enclosure for walk in showers, although many people prefer to install a glass screen to prevent water splashing outside the shower area. As the floor of the showering area is completely level with the rest of the room, wet rooms are ideal for those with mobility issues who are able to move effortlessly in and out of walk in showers.

Accessible Shower

An accessible shower is designed with a low-level access feature that is specifically created for the elderly or less mobile. The most significant difference between a conventional shower and an Accessible shower is the option of not having to climb over the side of a bath in a shower/bath combination or up over a large step up into the shower tray of an independent shower.

Our bathing solutions range is designed to put the ease and comfort back in to bathing and showering. We have an extensive range of walk-in baths and showers, with a variety of options tailored to suit your bathroom, décor and budget.

  • Ideal for replacing a conventional bath
  • Large showering area

  • Use with either your existing shower or choose a new thermostatically controlled mixer or electric shower
