VELA was set up by Danish designer Vermund Larsen who is one of the pioneers of ergonomic chairs. His passion for design, form and function were the drivers behind his company ethos that ‘one should sit well’.

Ergonomic Activity Chairs

The height of the seat can be adjusted either using the gas spring or electrically if the user does not have the strength in their legs to raise and lower the seat.

The majority of tasks that are done in the kitchen are done in a standing position and require a certain amount of strength. This inevitably means that for most people with mobility or balance issues. They may have issues standing and may be unable to reach cupboards or to work at the correct height of kitchen units.

VELA Ergonomic Chairs range have an unique central brake that provides the user with stability thereby ensuring that the user has a safe work place. This means that when working in the kitchen with knives or boiling water, a level of safety is in place.

VELA chairs allow the user to “walk” the chair forward while seated in the chair making it possible to get around the kitchen and home with ease.
